BEACHES TO VISIT IN THE UK

Beaches in the UK are crystal clear and blue with Dolphins to ride on and Turtles to feed in the summer. For the newcomers in the UK, I’d recommend you hang out at the beach this season; it is usually warm in summer and super cold in winter. Summer is the best time to go scuba diving in the waves or to tan your skin either sways; the beaches in the UK are cool to visit.

WHITSTABLE BEACH, KENT

This town’s pebble beach has got one of the most beautiful brown sands and picturesque view I have ever seen, backed by stripy beach huts, and still rates Britain’s best seaside spots. The stones could even be hard on your feet, but the water is crystal clear – and for people who don’t like sand in their shoes, it’s win-win. The town is getting smarter by the day (the annual Oyster Festival draws the crowds), and there are many independent shops and cafés for diving into should it rain. You can’t miss the oyster stalls from the beach – once you’ve had your fill, plop yourself on the pebbles near The Old Neptune pub where you can enter and order for drinks (and use the loos when its crucial), then buy a crab sandwich from Elliott’s at No.1 Harbor Street for lunch.

BRANCASTER BEACH, NORFOLK

North Norfolk is one of the new towns that has many beautiful beaches (the entire stretch of coastline may be a neighborhood of Outstanding Natural Beauty), apart from lower-key loveliness head to Brancaster with its miles of golden sand and no need to jostle for sandcastle space. It’s perfect for long walks (dogs are welcome), and kite surfers love it too thanks to the pancake-flat water. For wildlife enthusiasts, Titchwell Marsh Nature Reserve is just two miles down the road, so on a good day, visitors can spot avocets, skylarks, pink-footed geese and seals basking on the sandbanks. At low tide, the shipwreck of SS Vina (which the RAF used for exercise during war II) peeks out from the sand – though tides are often dangerously strong, keep an eye fixed on timetables before heading for a swim.

PORTHCURNO, NEAR LAND'S END

Set beneath the cliff top Minack Theatre, this is often arguably the county's most beautiful bay: a funnel of sand caught between lichen-encrusted granite cliffs. Easily accessible, it's fine white sand and is trendy families. It’s best at low tide once you walk to other beaches within the bay (one of which is a nudist beach) and sit on sandbars beneath the normal cliff fort of Treryn Dinas, surrounded by Grecian-blue water.

WOOLCOMBE BEACH , ENGLAND

This beach stretches out for several miles, leaving many spaces on its golden sand for beach games or sunbathing. The shallow shore and breaking waves make it a popular spot for surfers. Alternatively, on calmer days you'll kayak or jet ski along the coast.

PELISTRY BAY, ISLES OF SCILLY

This beach is one of Britain’s best-hidden gems. Outside the vacations, you will find the beach deserted due to its remote location on the eastern shore of St. Mary’s. enjoys the astonishingly blue seas that surround the Isles, and paddle bent Toll’s island at low tide.

DUNGENESS BEACH, KENT

Dungeness won't be your typical postcard-perfect beach, but it’s a wild and wonderful place to explore. There’s a surreal clash between nature and man: industrial power stations tower over a protected wildlife sanctuary. Anglers, artists and ornithologists make the pilgrimage to this curious landscape, but the shoreline stretches for miles so it also makes a peaceful place to bring a picnic and watch common tern diving for fish (see if you'll hold your breath as long as they do). The Fish Hut serves up the fresh catch and cold drinks – well earned if you climb the 140 steps to the very best of the old lighthouse. the ocean here isn't for swimming, but ask a neighborhood for directions to ‘the Long Pool’ within the forested area mentioned as ‘the jungle’ – it’s not on any maps.

PENTLE BAY, SCILLY ISLES

Pentle Bay's white sand and intensely blue sea provide it an almost tropical look, but this beach is really within the Isles of Scilly, almost 30 miles south-west of Land's End. The water here is safe for swimming, which is tempting since the Isles have an unusually warm climate for Britain, and thus the beach could also be an excellent place for collecting seashells or just lounging on the sand. The safe waters around the island mean it's perfect for water sports, and amateur ornithologists and archaeologists will find plenty to remain them interested.

BLACKPOOL SANDS

Three miles south-west of Dartmouth is that this sheltered and peaceful crescent of fine shingle, backed by wooded hills. Its fashionable families and a superb spot for swimming as its turquoise waters are clean and typically calm. You’ll hire kayaks and paddleboards.

PORTSTEWART STRAND, COUNTY LONDONDERRY, NORTHERN IRELAND

A fantastic Irish sandy beach about two miles long. albeit it had been voted together of the very best 10 visitor attractions in Northern Ireland, the sheer size of the beach means you will always find a pocket of sand to yourself.

SANDALWOOD BAY, SUTHERLAND, SCOTLAND

If you would like chilly waters with castle views, well then this is often the only beach for you! The majestic Bamburgh Castle sits proudly on top of the cliff, surrounded by beautiful green grass. Ideal for long walks and short swims (the water rarely warms up even within the summer months).

RHOSSILI BEACH, GOWER, WALES

Rhossili Beach was voted because of the simplest beach in Wales in 2018, coming third within the ‘best beach within the UK’ category. It’s really no wonder, with its gorgeous green rolling hills and three miles of fine golden sand. Loved by surfers who descend on the beach when the Atlantic swell is at its highest peak.
