Coronavirus is an extremely common cause of cold and other upper respiratory infections. These viruses are also known as zoonoses, meaning they can infect animals and spread from one animal to the other; it can also spread to humans, especially if certain mutations in the virus occur.

1. MAINTAIN A SOCIAL DISTANCE IN PUBLIC
The world on currently on lockdown, and so everyone is mandated to stay at home so as to minimalize the spread of the virus, since it is airborne. While at home, make sure to maintain at least, the one-meter distance between yourself and others, especially, those with a cough, or sneezing and have a fever.
The reason is that anyone who’s infected with respiratory diseases, like the coronavirus, coughs or sneezes, they contain small droplets containing the virus, and if you are too close, you can breathe in the virus.
2. PRACTISE RESPIRATORY HYGIENE

Clean your hands with alcohol-based hand sanitizer or water and soap. Also, Wash your hands regularly with soap and water or hand sanitizer containing alcohol.
3. AVOID TOUCHING EYES, NOSE AND MOUTH
Your hands touch so many things and surfaces, and can easily contaminate the virus, and use the same hands to touch your eyes, nose or mouth; you stand a chance to transfer the virus to yourself if care is not taken.
4. SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION EARLY
Ensure you tell your healthcare provider if you have traveled to China or in close contact with someone with respiratory symptoms, and seek medical attention.
